Drugstore Must Haves

not all products need to be overly expensive to get the job done, these four amazing facial products are absolute necessities for me

my everyday foundation: Maybelline "fit me" #125

i have tried every single foundation out there and have never been so in love like i am with maybelline's "fit me" collection. its so breathable and doesn't leave my face oily or "cakey". also, i wear it for long periods of time and i found that unlike MAC and NARS, i dont breakout or get tiny little bumps from build up.

perfect for fresh out the shower: Seabreeze Astringent

i was never a big fan of astringents, to be honest they kind of scared me. i thought it was for people with really bad acne and that it burned the hell out of your face.. i was very wrong. yes, it is powerful a little bit on a cotton ball goes a long way but it is so refreshing and dries out the oil as well as removes dirt from your pores. with the warmer weather quickly approaching this is an awesome mid-day solution for your oily t-zone..not to mention it helped shrink my pores tremendously.

everyday facial cleanser/makeup remover: Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Revitalizing Foam Cleanser

this gentle cleanser is just the best, hands down. the 7-in-1 is similar to a BB cream concept.. it fights 7 signs of aging.. fine lines and wrinkles, rough texture, uneven skin tone, dullness, prominent pores, age spots, and dryness. i keep mine in the shower and use it everyday, it also doubles as an awesome makeup remover. with consistent use you will notices a visible difference with your skins appearance guaranteed... which brings me to my next Olay godsend...

exfoliating scrub: Olay Regenerist Detoxifying Pore Scrub

ive never been a true fan of drugstore exfoliators or scrubs because i was always disappointed or because of my sensitive skin, broke out from it. with the Olay Regenerist Scrub its beads are small and soft however still extremely effective. using this 3 times a week, has greatly improved my skin and minimized my blackheads.

Knuckle Up!

Knuckle Rings are the latest jewelry trend and this up and coming brand is literally all the rage right now...

21 Boho Street creator, Krystin Marie was getting blown up on Instagram for her super trendy, super cute copper coil knuckle rings...and for good reason

After meeting with this new designer, I fell in love. Her pieces are affordable, versatile, and completely addictive. She told me she was sick and tired of spending a fortune on knuckle rings that would only fall off and get lost off her finger, so she set out to design her own. Layering up is the ideal look with all different coils, lengths, and metals...as you can see i simply could not help myself after seeing all of her designs
All rings are made with copper wire with permanent color, they are tarnish resistant and are nickel free- this means it wont turn your finger green! Also Krystin uses 16 gauge wiring which is thicker than normal knuckle rings which give them better shape and are less prone to breakage.

Heres a sneak peek at some gemstone prototypes, that will be making a debut soon, they are absolutely so perfect!
You can contact Krystin Marie at 21bohostreet@gmail.com or her instagram.. @21BohoStreet
Keep your eye out for 21 Boho Street, because i am completely obsessed

The Skinny Latte...Not So Skinny

The Starbucks Skinny Latte, a huge trend since its 2010 debut but is it really that skinny?

Being a loyal Starbucks patron and Skinny Latte addict, finding out how healthy it really turned out to be was a mission.
Taking its Dietary Facts directly from Starbucks.com

as they say on their website "the proof is in the pudding" it is true it is a skinnier version of a latte, but it has no nutritional value and quite frankly leaves you quite unfulfilled. By substituting skim milk instead of whole milk you are cutting calories but its the whole milk that actually fills you up, thus decreasing your hunger in between breakfast in lunch. Consuming these skinny lattes you find yourself more inclined to snack or eat thus practically canceling out the cutting of calories. When in doubt at Starbucks, always go for Iced Green Tea, its a sure thing.

eat more beautiful

Everyone knows you are what you eat, these super foods can help make you beautiful from the inside out.

number one on this list is the sweet potato
this is the ultimate skin super food, it is packed with Vitamin A & Beta Carotene, an antioxidant which protects your skin from sun damage as well as everyday wear and tear. If you look at the high end face creams most likely sweet potato will be one of its top ingredients. It also holds a high potassium level which can help with muscle cramping. After an intense work out eating a whole sweet potato as well as a side of spinach will lessen your chances of sore muscles the next day.

Going Green- Spinach, Kale, Broccoli, Swiss Chard & Asparagus
the combination of Beta Carotene, Folate, Vitamin C, and Iron all help your hair follicles keep healthy and your natural scalp oils circulating. keeping greens in your diet consistently will improve your hair, skin, and nails almost instantly.

Kiwi, Oranges, Lemons, & Grapefruit
All four fruits contain high levels of Vitamin E which protect your skin from degeneration. they also boost your skins collagen, aiding as a natural anti-aging agent. so forget the creams and serums just boost your intake in these fruits, especially kiwis. Slice pinwheels of orange, lemon, and grapefruit and let them marinate in water for 15 minutes, chill and enjoy drinking from your very own fountain of youth.

Avocado

Avocados can be seen everywhere tied to hair treatments and masks. This is for good reason, the proteins in avocados improve hair growth as well as regeneration for damaged or dry hair. Avocados have Vitamin A, B6, C, E, and K as well as fiber and potassium all in which are great for your hair and skin, try making an at home hair mask using avocado, jojoba oil, yogurt, and an egg.

Black, White, & Green Tea
Tea is literally the most amazing thing you can do for your skin because of Flavonoids, which are antioxidants that strengthen your blood vessels and stabilize your natural elastin and collagen levels. Green Tea is the best of all due its vast amount of health benefits as well as how jam packed with antioxidants it is. green tea is also a healthier alternative to coffee.

Blueberries
of all the berries, blueberries have the highest level of antioxidants which you know by now are amazing for you and prevent premature aging while helping your skin attain its natural glow. they also help boost your immune system and combat bloating. If you dont like them plain, try picking up dark chocolate covered blueberries from trader joes, they are a perfect snack alternative.

Sunflower Seeds & Almonds
Both of these are awesome for your skin, they protect against UV rays and have tons of Vitamin E, helping your skin glow beyond belief. try sprinkling these on top of salads to up your intake or just carry around a little bag to snack on throughout the day, your skin will thank you.

Pre Summer Pastels

If you haven't noticed pastel nails are trending hard right now, they can add a pop of color while maintaing a subtle tone. Two of my current favorites are Essie's "Bond with Whomever" (left) & "A Crewed Interest" (right)

And one nail trend i find myself using multi-season is the always crisp, always clean white gel manicure. Versatile for casual and dressy occasions, you can never go wrong and can always find a perfect outfit to set off its stark white hue

Summer Essentials

that i'm totally obsessed with right now

Boscia Illuminizing Black Mask

this mask is literally the be all end all to my existence, it is worth every cent of its $35 price tag at Sephora. warning, it is a peel off mask and it does hurt a little while taking it off but the outcome is to die for. you'll thank me the next day for the amaze glow

Philosophy's Take a Deep Breath Gel Moisturizer
This is the absolute perfect summer moisturizer, its light, airy, and absorbs into your skin almost instantly. its a gel which i always love because its doesn't leave my skin oily especially in the summer when its inevitable to break a small sweat. a little bit goes a long way with this product.

St. Tropez Gradual Tanning Mousse
i have never been a believer in self-tanners because they always leave me looking like a streaky oompa loompa, however i found love in a hopeless place with this amazing self tanning brand. the smell is nowhere near as toxic as most drug store brands and its easy application with its fluffy mousse. summer is coming and this is a great tool for that pre summer glow. use this on your calves and thighs before a big night out, it makes your legs look slimmer and more defined.

Bumble & Bumble Quenching Mask
my hairstylist turned me onto this after i went in for a drastic color change. this 10 minute mask totally does its job of actually "quenching" your hairs thirst for moisture. with the warmer weather coming up your hair will tend to dry out from sun damage from chlorine so, applying this once a week is a must for lucious locks this summer.

Fresh. Sugar Lip Polish
This little cute brown sugar scrub is a secret weapon to plumping up your lips as well as exfoliating all the dead skin revealing fresh smooth kissable lips. constantly wearing chapstick or lipstick builds up with constant wear, so applying this for 2-3 minutes twice a week diminishes the excess skin and keep your lips baby soft

All items can be found online at Sephora.com
